Handle a patient’s data request
Answer patient requests on time, review unusual access and report a suspected breach.
Answer requests
Open Clinic › Privacy. Patient requests (copy of records, correction, stop marketing) must be answered within 15 days; each shows its due date.
Verify and complete
Check the patient's ID before releasing anything, then complete the request.
Review alerts
Review any Unusual record access alerts.
Report a breach
For a suspected breach, click Report a breach right away. You must decide within 24 hours whether it's reportable, and tell the NPC and affected patients within 72 hours.
